Renault India has recorded its ninth consecutive month of wholesale growth, extending a strong sales momentum that began in September 2025 and reinforcing its growing presence in the country’s passenger vehicle market.
The Indian arm of Renault Group said cumulative wholesales between September 2025 and May 2026 stood at 38,225 units, marking a 46% increase compared with the corresponding period last year.
May wholesales surge 64%
Renault India reported a 64% year-on-year rise in wholesales in May 2026, highlighting continued demand for its product portfolio amid intense competition in the domestic passenger vehicle segment.
The company said the strong wholesale performance reflects sustained customer interest and its efforts to strengthen market penetration across India.
Among few automakers to post retail growth
According to VAAHAN data, Renault was one of only two passenger vehicle manufacturers in India to register positive retail sales growth during May 2026.
The achievement comes at a time when several automakers are navigating a challenging demand environment, making Renault’s performance stand out in the broader passenger vehicle market.
Growth streak enters ninth month
The latest performance marks the ninth straight month of wholesale growth for Renault India, with the streak beginning in September 2025.
Over the nine-month period, the company has consistently expanded volumes, helping drive cumulative wholesales growth of 46% and strengthening its position in one of the world’s most competitive automotive markets.
Focus on customer-centric products
Renault India attributed the sustained momentum to its focus on offering products tailored to the preferences of Indian consumers while continuing to expand its reach across the country.
The company said its growth trajectory reflects the resonance of its product lineup with customers and its commitment to building a stronger foothold in the Indian automotive market.
