Clean Max Enviro, Meta Partner For 900 MW Renewable Energy Projects

CW Bureau ·

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd. (CleanMax) has partnered with Meta Platforms Inc. to develop 837 MW of large-scale solar and wind energy projects across Rajasthan and Karnataka.

With this addition, the total renewable energy capacity under the partnership between the two companies has crossed 900 MW, including previously announced projects.

Renewable energy push

The projects will support Meta’s objective of matching its electricity consumption with 100% clean and renewable energy while helping reduce value-chain emissions in the region.

Under the agreement, Meta will purchase 100% of the environmental attributes generated from the projects. The initiative builds on the existing relationship between the two companies and highlights the growing role of corporate renewable energy procurement in accelerating India’s energy transition.

Supporting AI infrastructure

“Meta connects billions of people every day through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads while helping shape the future of digital and AI infrastructure. For us, that infrastructure is increasingly digital, AI-driven and interconnected. It must also be powered by clean energy,” Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Founder and Managing Director Kuldeep Jain said.

“We look forward to supporting Meta’s renewable energy ambitions while contributing to India’s clean energy transition,” he added.

Long-term sustainability

“These agreements represent meaningful progress in supporting our renewable energy goals in the region. We’re pleased to continue working with CleanMax to help bring new renewable energy capacity onto the grid in India and support the growth of the country’s clean energy ecosystem,” Meta Platforms Inc Head of Clean and Renewable Energy Amanda Yang said.

The companies said the collaboration underscores the importance of renewable energy in supporting the rapid expansion of digital and AI infrastructure while advancing long-term decarbonisation goals.

CleanMax said the partnership further strengthens its position as a sustainability partner for corporates pursuing large-scale clean energy and emissions reduction initiatives.
