Haleon To Invest ₹2,000 Cr In Manufacturing Facility At Pithampur

Haleon, a global consumer health company, has announced plans to establish its first greenfield manufacturing facility in India at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, with an investment of ₹2,000 crore.

Spread across 40 acres in the Smart Industrial Park, the facility is expected to be operational by 2029-30 and will support growing demand in domestic as well as international markets.

Expansion plans

The proposed plant will strengthen Haleon’s manufacturing footprint in India, enhance supply chain resilience, increase domestic value addition and support exports to other Asian markets.

The project is expected to generate up to 500 direct jobs, besides creating indirect employment opportunities through local supplier networks and allied industries. The company also aims to build a diverse workforce, with a target of up to 30% women employees at the facility.

Haleon’s India portfolio includes brands such as Sensodyne, Eno, Otrivin, Centrum, Iodex, Crocin, Parodontax and Ostocalcium.

Strategic market

“This ₹2,000 crore investment will further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s position as a key manufacturing and export hub, while contributing to economic development and industrial advancement,” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said.

“India is a key strategic market for Haleon and an important driver of our long-term growth. This investment strengthens our local manufacturing footprint and expands our reach in one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer health markets,” Haleon Chief Executive Officer Brian McNamara said.

He said the company aims to expand access to better everyday health for more than 300 million additional consumers in India, contributing to its global ambition of reaching one billion more consumers by 2030.
