CW Bureau ·

L&T Technology Services Ltd. (LTTS), a provider of engineering and technology services, has entered into a strategic go-to-market partnership with Databricks to co-develop Industrial AI solutions aimed at advancing Engineering Intelligence (EI) for asset-intensive industries.

The partnership, anchored in LTTS’ sustainability business segment, will focus on sectors such as energy, petrochemicals and industrial manufacturing, helping enterprises derive greater value from operational and engineering data.

Engineering Intelligence

The alliance combines LTTS’ engineering and domain expertise with Databricks’ AI, analytics and data platform capabilities to transform plant and operational data into actionable engineering intelligence.

The companies said the collaboration will help improve asset reliability, operational efficiency and sustainability performance across industrial facilities. LTTS brings experience from over 600 major plants globally, while Databricks contributes advanced AI and data management capabilities.

Industrial applications

The partnership will deliver solutions in areas including predictive asset reliability, energy and emissions optimisation, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), production intelligence, quality intelligence and sustainability analytics.

By integrating real-time operational data, artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language-based insights, the solutions are expected to help engineering and manufacturing teams analyse and act on operational information more effectively.

“The bottleneck in energy and utilities has never been data; it’s been context. This partnership helps bridge that gap by combining engineering expertise with advanced AI capabilities,” Databricks Director for Energy and Utilities Julien Debbard said.

“Through our Engineering Intelligence approach, this partnership with Databricks will combine industry-leading AI and data capabilities with LTTS’ deep engineering expertise to unlock value at scale,” L&T Technology Services Executive Director and President – Strategic Initiatives & Growth Markets Alind Saxena said.
