Kabra Drugs Ltd has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from the Government of Chhattisgarh for the proposed establishment of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Nava Raipur Pharma Park, marking a significant step in the company’s capacity expansion and long-term growth plans.
The proposed project involves an investment of approximately ₹200 crore and is aimed at strengthening the company’s manufacturing capabilities while enhancing its operational scale in the pharmaceutical sector.
Manufacturing capacity expansion
According to the company’s disclosure to the stock exchanges, the proposed facility is expected to expand Kabra Drugs’ manufacturing capacity and reinforce its operational capabilities. The project is also expected to strengthen the company’s manufacturing footprint and support its future business growth initiatives.
The company said the investment is expected to contribute to revenue growth over the long term, subject to successful implementation of the project and receipt of necessary regulatory approvals.
Employment generation
The proposed pharmaceutical manufacturing facility is expected to generate around 250 direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to industrial development and job creation in the region.
The project aligns with the state government’s efforts to attract investments into the pharmaceutical sector and develop Nava Raipur Pharma Park as a manufacturing hub.
Subject to regulatory approvals
Kabra Drugs noted that the proposed investment will be undertaken subject to the execution of definitive agreements and receipt of applicable approvals, sanctions, incentives and other regulatory compliances as required from time to time.
The company said the project is expected to play a key role in supporting its long-term growth strategy while enhancing its manufacturing infrastructure and operational efficiency.
