Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd (KSSL), the wholly owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd, unveiled its MArG series of mounted artillery guns on the opening day of Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s largest defence and security exhibitions.
The MArG series is a family of truck-mounted 155 mm artillery systems designed to provide highly mobile, rapidly deployable and cost-effective firepower solutions for modern armed forces.
Product portfolio
The MArG series comprises three variants built on a common platform — MArG 39 (39 calibre), MArG 45 (45 calibre) and MArG 52 (52 calibre).
The systems are designed for rapid deployment with quick transition from march-to-fire and back to movement, reduced crew requirements and faster reaction times in combat situations.
According to the company, the artillery systems are intended to enhance operational mobility while maintaining high levels of firepower across diverse terrain conditions.
Management comment
“With the MArG series, we bring six decades of precision engineering and metallurgical expertise to a product engineered for armed forces worldwide,” said Bharat Forge Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director Amit Kalyani.
“Redefining deployable artillery, KSSL has set a new global benchmark that gives armed forces uncompromising firepower and mobility — and gives partner nations the means to build that capability for themselves,” he added.
“The MArG series delivers a decisive battlefield advantage — agile enough to shoot, scoot and reposition before counter-battery fire can respond, and to reach the mountains, cities and infrastructure-constrained terrain where heavier systems simply cannot go,” said Kalyani Strategic Systems Chief Executive Officer Neelesh Tungar.
“Just as importantly, it can be produced and sustained close to the forces that depend on it,” he added.
Exhibition showcase
The next-generation 155 mm/39 calibre MArG 39 variant is being showcased at Eurosatory 2026 and is being demonstrated to prospective customers from across Europe.
