Ghadi Enters Liquid Detergent Space With Rapid Wash For Bucket Laundry

CW Bureau ·

RSPL Group, the maker of Ghadi detergent, has expanded its home care portfolio with the launch of Ghadi Rapid Wash, a liquid detergent specifically developed for everyday bucket washing.

The company said the new product aims to bridge the gap between traditional detergent powders and bars and modern liquid detergents, offering consumers a solution that combines effective cleaning performance with ease of use and affordability.

The launch was held in Kanpur, the birthplace of the Ghadi brand, and marks RSPL Group’s latest effort to drive innovation in India’s detergent market.

Targeting everyday laundry needs
For decades, bucket-and-hand washing has remained the preferred laundry method for millions of Indian households. Recognising this consumer behaviour, RSPL has introduced Ghadi Rapid Wash as a liquid detergent tailored specifically for this segment.

The company said the product is designed to make liquid detergents more accessible to consumers seeking convenience without compromising on cleaning performance.

Powered by Rapid Release Technology
Ghadi Rapid Wash features Rapid Release Technology, which enables the liquid detergent to dissolve instantly in water and penetrate deep into fabric fibres.

According to the company, the formulation helps remove stubborn stains with less scrubbing effort while delivering the deep-cleaning performance associated with the Ghadi brand.

The product seeks to combine the trusted cleaning efficiency of traditional detergents with the convenience of a liquid format.

Affordable pricing strategy
A key focus of the launch is affordability. Ghadi Rapid Wash is priced at ₹85 for a 900 ml pouch, making it accessible to a broader consumer base.

To encourage product trials and wider adoption, RSPL has also introduced smaller pack sizes, including a 35 ml trial pack priced at ₹5 for a single bucket wash and a ₹10 Judwaa pack containing two 40 ml sachets suitable for two bucket washes.

The company said these smaller packs are intended to expand the reach of liquid detergents across urban and rural markets.

Bridging tradition and innovation
RSPL Group Joint Managing Director Rahul Gyanchandani, said, “The Indian consumer has always aspired to upgrade, but the market never gave them a liquid detergent that suited the way they actually wash clothes.”

He added, “Ghadi Rapid Wash is our answer to that gap, a product that brings together the best of both worlds: the cleaning muscle and trust that generations have associated with Ghadi, the convenience and innovation of a modern liquid detergent format, at a price point that makes it truly accessible. With this launch, we are bringing our legacy of delivering effective, value-driven solutions into a new era of laundry care, where tradition meets innovation to serve the evolving needs of Indian households.”

Expanding liquid detergent adoption
RSPL said the launch reflects its understanding of the needs of mass-market consumers and its focus on delivering products that balance affordability, convenience and performance.

With Ghadi Rapid Wash, the company aims to accelerate the adoption of liquid detergents in India by making the category more relevant and accessible to households that continue to rely on bucket washing as part of their daily laundry routine.
