MINI India has launched the new MINI Countryman C in India, marking a significant milestone as the latest-generation premium compact SUV will now be locally produced in the country. The new Countryman C will be manufactured at BMW Group Plant Chennai and is available exclusively in a petrol variant.

Bookings for the new model have commenced across all authorised MINI dealerships in India, with deliveries beginning immediately. The SUV is offered exclusively in the ‘Favoured Pack’ trim at an ex-showroom price of ₹47.50 lakh.

Local production strengthens portfolio
Speaking on the launch, BMW Group India, President and CEO, Hardeep Singh Brar, said, “The new MINI Countryman C is definitively ‘a new kind of BIG’. It beautifully evolves the traditional MINI silhouette into a commanding SUV with a bold look and a highly practical cabin tailored for family adventures, all while remaining entirely true to our iconic go-kart feeling.”

He added, “We are thrilled that this car will now be made in India, strategically strengthening the portfolio and offering an absolutely great value proposition. This SUV is sophisticated, charismatically minimalist, and undeniably fun, proving that you can grow up without losing your edge.”

Design follows ‘Charismatic Simplicity’
The new MINI Countryman C showcases the brand’s latest design philosophy, ‘Charismatic Simplicity’, which combines traditional MINI styling cues with progressive innovations.

The SUV features clean surfaces, wider wheel arches, an octagonal front grille, sculpted bonnet, LED headlights and taillights, and short overhangs. MINI said the visual separation of the body, window area and contrasting roof helps create a distinctive identity for the vehicle.

With its increased dimensions, higher ground clearance and upright design elements, the Countryman C aims to offer a stronger road presence while retaining MINI’s signature character.

Turbocharged petrol engine powers SUV
Under the hood, the MINI Countryman C is powered by a petrol engine featuring MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. The powertrain generates 156 hp and delivers a peak torque of 240 Nm.

The engine is paired with a 7-speed Double Clutch Steptronic Sport Transmission, designed to provide smoother gear shifts, improved efficiency and a more engaging driving experience.

Five-star safety rating
The new MINI Countryman C has secured a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. Its safety package includes front passenger airbags, side curtain airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, rear-view camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, crash sensor and three-point seat belts. The SUV also comes with an integrated emergency spare wheel and a 60-litre fuel tank.

Flexible ownership options
BMW India Financial Services is offering customised financing solutions for the new MINI Countryman C through MINI Smart Finance.

Customers can own the SUV with monthly instalments starting from Rs 56,990 and zero down payment. The programme also offers an assured buyback value of up to 66% after three years, along with flexible end-of-term ownership options.

Buyers can additionally finance MINI Service Inclusive, MINI Secure and Extended Warranty packages as part of their ownership experience.
