Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has announced the simultaneous signing of two new properties in Maharashtra, Lemon Tree Resort, Tadgaon and Lemon Tree Resort, Igatpuri, further strengthening its footprint in one of India’s key hospitality markets.

With these additions, the company will have 32 properties in Maharashtra, comprising 15 operational hotels and 17 properties in the pipeline, including the two newly signed resorts. Both properties will be managed by Carnation Hotels Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd.

Focus on emerging drive-to destinations
The double signing reflects Lemon Tree Hotels’ strategy of expanding into high-potential micro-markets that are rapidly emerging as preferred drive-to destinations for leisure and corporate travellers from major urban centres such as Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Pune.

The company said the new resorts are designed to cater to the growing demand for accessible, experience-led hospitality offerings that combine leisure, wellness and event infrastructure.

Tadgaon resort to offer 110 rooms
Lemon Tree Resort, Tadgaon will feature 110 well-appointed rooms designed to provide a comfortable and refreshing stay experience.

The resort will include a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting and conference facilities, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre, making it suitable for leisure holidays as well as events and corporate gatherings.

The property is strategically located about 75 km from Navi Mumbai International Airport and 100 km from Mumbai Central Railway Station, offering convenient connectivity for travellers.

Igatpuri property to feature 90 rooms
Lemon Tree Resort, Igatpuri will offer 90 well-appointed rooms along with a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting and conference facilities, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.

Located approximately 134 km from Mumbai International Airport and 5.6 km from Igatpuri railway station, the resort is expected to benefit from the growing popularity of Igatpuri as a weekend getaway and corporate retreat destination.

Expansion aligned with changing travel trends
Lemon Tree Hotels President, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, said, “Our expansion strategy with resorts in Tadgaon and Igatpuri in Maharashtra is deeply aligned with the evolving dynamics of the drive-to hospitality sector. Urban travellers and corporate houses are increasingly prioritizing accessible, high-amenity destinations that don’t require complex logistics. By introducing the Lemon Tree Resort brand to these two distinct, premium micro-markets, we are uniquely positioned to capture a highly lucrative mix of weekend leisure, multi-generational travel, and mid-to-high-level corporate retreats.”

Strengthening western India presence
The addition of the two resorts further consolidates Lemon Tree Hotels’ presence in western India, expanding its pipeline of premium regional resorts tailored to evolving lifestyle preferences and corporate travel requirements.

The company believes the new properties will help capture growing demand from leisure travellers, families and businesses seeking high-quality resort experiences within driving distance of Maharashtra’s major urban centres.
