The pharmaceutical company informed stock exchanges on Saturday that the acquisition will be completed on or before July 31, 2026. The transaction is not a related-party deal and Sun Pharma’s promoter group has no interest in the target company.

Strategic portfolio expansion
Sun Pharma said the acquisition is a strategic investment aimed at strengthening the company’s product portfolio. Innovcare Lifesciences is engaged in the marketing, distribution and sale of pharmaceutical drugs, nutraceutical products and cosmeceutical offerings in India.

The acquisition will be carried out through a cash consideration of around ₹271.2 crore, with Sun Pharma acquiring all outstanding shares of Innovcare.

The company operates exclusively in India and focuses on marketing and distribution across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical categories.

No regulatory approvals required
