Lemon Tree Expands Nepal Presence With 85-Key Janakpur Hotel Signing

Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has signed an 85-room Lemon Tree Hotel in Janakpur, Nepal, further strengthening its international footprint in South Asia.

The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Pvt Ltd, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary.

With this signing, Lemon Tree Hotels’ international portfolio has expanded to 11 properties, comprising six operational hotels and five upcoming projects across Nepal, Bhutan and Dubai.

Nepal expansion

The latest addition takes the group’s presence in Nepal to eight properties, including three operational hotels and five under development.

Lemon Tree Hotels currently operates two hotels in Bhutan and one in Dubai, reflecting its growing focus on international markets.

Janakpur, located in Nepal’s Dhanusha district, is regarded as one of South Asia’s most important pilgrimage destinations as the birthplace of Goddess Sita. The city attracts large numbers of pilgrims and tourists, particularly during festivals such as Vivah Panchami and Ram Navami.

Strategic location

The hotel is located close to key religious and cultural landmarks, including Janaki Temple, Ram Mandir, Vivah Mandap, Dhanush Sagar and Ganga Sagar.

The company said the signing reinforces its international expansion strategy and commitment to strengthening its presence across culturally and spiritually significant destinations in South Asia.
