Electric mobility platform BLive has announced a ₹100 crore investment plan to deploy 1,000 electric mini trucks over the next two years as part of its strategy to accelerate the electrification of India’s last-mile logistics sector.
The company has also launched BLive PRIME, a four-wheeler franchise model designed to drive large-scale adoption of electric cargo vehicles and support the growing demand for sustainable urban logistics solutions.
The rollout will begin in Bengaluru before expanding to major urban markets including Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad over the coming months.
Targets growing logistics opportunity
BLive said the investment comes at a time when India’s last-mile logistics market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by the expansion of e-commerce and quick commerce. The sector is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15-20%, increasing demand for cost-efficient and high-utilisation fleet solutions.
Under its expansion roadmap, the company plans to deploy 1,000 electric cargo vehicles within 24 months, strengthening its presence in the urban freight transportation segment.
Franchise model links investors with EV fleet growth
BLive PRIME has been developed to bridge the gap between rising fleet demand and access to structured capital by enabling investors to participate in the electric mobility transition through an asset-backed model.
The franchise model requires a minimum investment of ₹50 lakh and follows a 100% franchisee-owned, company-operated structure. Investors own the electric mini-truck fleets, while BLive manages deployment, utilisation, maintenance and overall fleet operations.
The company said its fleet ecosystem leverages proven commercial EVs such as the Tata Ace EV, which has gained traction in urban delivery operations due to its reliability and suitability for high-frequency logistics use cases.
Strong demand from logistics partners
BLive currently supports electric vehicle deployments across leading logistics and delivery platforms, including Hyperpure, Porter and Delhivery, reflecting growing demand for electric mini-trucks in commercial operations.
BLive Co-Founder & CEO Sandeep Mukherjee said commercial logistics applications are expected to drive the next phase of EV adoption in India.
“India’s EV transition is entering a phase where scale will be driven by commercial use cases, particularly in last-mile logistics, where demand is predictable and utilisation is high. With BLive PRIME, we are building a model that connects capital with this demand, enabling investors to own EV assets while we manage operations and ensure their deployment within a growing logistics ecosystem,” he said.
Mukherjee added that the initiative would accelerate fleet electrification while creating a structured and scalable investment opportunity linked to India’s EV growth story.
Expanding EV ecosystem
BLive said it has been building an integrated electric mobility ecosystem spanning fleet deployment, rider enablement, charging solutions and franchise-led expansion.
With BLive PRIME, the company is entering the larger commercial EV fleet segment, targeting opportunities in urban logistics through investor participation, electrification of high-frequency delivery operations and demand-linked asset ownership models.
The company expects electric mini-trucks to play a critical role in creating efficient and sustainable delivery networks as India’s logistics sector continues to evolve.
