Hilton Launches Spark Brand In India With Bengaluru And Goa Properties

CW Bureau ·

Hilton has launched its premium economy brand, Spark by Hilton, in India with the opening of properties in Bengaluru and Goa, marking the brand’s debut in the Asia Pacific region.

The launch follows Hilton’s strategic partnership with Olive Hospitality to develop 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India, underscoring the global hospitality company’s focus on the country’s fast-growing travel market.

Fast-growing global brand

Launched in 2023, Spark by Hilton is among Hilton’s fastest-growing brands globally. The brand currently operates more than 240 hotels and has nearly 230 properties in the development pipeline across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other international markets.

The Bengaluru property features 82 rooms and is located in Marathahalli, close to the Export Promotion Industrial Park and Helios Tech Park, catering to business and leisure travellers.

Management comment

“The debut of Spark by Hilton marks an important milestone in our bid to serve more guests across all stay occasions. Together with Olive Hospitality, we are bringing a brand to market that is built for today’s traveller, simple, reliable and rooted in Hilton’s signature hospitality,” said Hilton President, Asia Pacific, Alan Watts.

“Spark by Hilton represents a fresh take on smart-value travel, and this debut in India marks a defining moment in the brand’s global journey,” said Spark by Hilton Global Brand Leader Alissa Klees.

Expansion plans

“We believe Spark by Hilton has the potential to redefine what value-driven hospitality looks like in India. What makes the brand especially relevant for this region is its ability to scale efficiently through conversions, backed by the strength and global recognition of Hilton,” said Olive Hospitality Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer Kahraman Yigit.

The openings come after Hilton and Olive Hospitality announced the first 10 Spark by Hilton signings in India. Additional properties are planned across key business and leisure destinations including Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot and Hyderabad over the coming years.
