Jawa 42 Ivory Now On Amazon And Flipkart As Rider Demand Grows

CW Bureau ·

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has expanded the reach of its recently launched Jawa 42 Ivory by making the motorcycle available for booking on Amazon.in and Flipkart, enabling customers across India to begin their ownership journey online.

The move follows strong rider interest in the Jawa 42 Ivory since its introduction, with the motorcycle attracting attention for its retro-inspired styling, distinctive Ivory colour scheme and neo-classic design language.

For many early owners, the motorcycle’s appeal extends beyond its performance and into the emotional connection it creates.

Shailendra S. Nanekar from Pune, who recently upgraded from a commuter motorcycle, said the difference in riding experience was immediately noticeable. “The step up in power is immediately noticeable. It feels refined and comfortable for longer, relaxed rides,” he said.

He added that the motorcycle frequently attracts attention wherever it is parked.

“Many say the Jawa 42 Ivory reminds them of the Jawa’s early days. They stop by to admire it, run their hands over the tank, sit on it, and ask about the motorcycle,” Nanekar said.

Blending nostalgia with modern design
The Ivory edition builds on the design legacy of the Jawa 42, a motorcycle that helped shape India’s modern neo-classic segment. Its soft pastel finish, classic proportions and understated styling aim to capture the nostalgia associated with classic motorcycling while presenting it in a contemporary format.

The motorcycle features a retro-inspired livery, signature ‘42’ decals and a checkered-flag motif on the fuel tank, reinforcing its heritage-inspired identity.

Hari from Andhra Pradesh said the Ivory shade was one of the key reasons behind his purchase decision.

“The Ivory colour instantly stood out to me. During festive occasions when I’m dressed in traditional attire, the motorcycle complements the entire look. The soft pastel shade contrasts beautifully with earthy colours like maroon, cream or gold. It gives the moment a very classic feel,” he said.

Prem Kumar from Puducherry echoed similar sentiments.

“I fell in love with the Ivory shade the moment I saw it in the showroom. It has a timeless quality that makes it stand apart,” he said.

Performance and features
The Jawa 42 Ivory is powered by the liquid-cooled J-Panther engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. According to the company, the motorcycle delivers up to 40% more power than other motorcycles in the 350cc segment, offering strong acceleration and rideability for both urban commuting and long-distance touring.

The motorcycle also features optimised gearing and throttle mapping, an assist and slipper clutch, and braking and handling characteristics tuned specifically for Indian road conditions.

The 2026 Jawa 42 Ivory is priced at ₹1,84,950 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Online booking process
The motorcycle is currently available for online booking across 118 cities, supported by a network of 130 dealerships handling e-commerce enquiries.

Customers can reserve the motorcycle by paying the ex-showroom booking amount on Amazon.in or Flipkart. Following the booking, an authorised dealer will contact the customer to complete the remaining on-road payment, registration and insurance formalities before vehicle delivery.

Accessories and add-ons will continue to be offered through dealerships.

Ownership assurance programme
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles continues to offer its Ownership Assurance Programme, which includes a four-year/50,000-km standard warranty, extended warranty options of up to six years, roadside assistance coverage of up to eight years and annual maintenance contract options of up to five years.

The programme is available through more than 450 sales and service touchpoints across the country and is aimed at enhancing customer confidence and long-term ownership experience.

Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd., the company behind the Jawa, Yezdi and BSA motorcycle brands, said the initiative reflects its focus on delivering a comprehensive motorcycling experience through products, services and customer support.
