JSW MG Motor India reported its highest-ever wholesale sales for June, registering 7,568 units in June 2026, a 30% year-on-year (YoY) increase over the corresponding month last year.
The company said the strong performance was driven by sustained demand across its portfolio of internal combustion engine (ICE) and new energy vehicle (NEV) models, with electric vehicles continuing to lead growth.
EVs account for over three-fourths of sales
Electric vehicles contributed more than 75% of JSW MG Motor India’s total sales during June, underlining the growing shift towards electric mobility in the country.
The company attributed the rising adoption of EVs to factors such as higher fuel prices, lower running costs compared with conventional vehicles and geopolitical uncertainties in West Asia, which have further strengthened consumer preference for electric mobility.
Diverse portfolio drives growth
JSW MG Motor India said the strong June performance reflects increasing customer acceptance of its diversified product portfolio, spanning both electric and ICE vehicles.
The company also recently commenced deliveries of the Majestor, its flagship SUV and India’s first D+ segment SUV, further expanding its presence in the premium utility vehicle segment.
Company sees strong customer response
JSW MG Motor India, Managing Director, Anurag Mehrotra, said, “Our June performance reflects steady demand across the portfolio and marks our highest-ever wholesale performance, with electric vehicles continuing to account for a significant share of our overall sales. At the same time, we are seeing encouraging customer response to our ICE offerings, reinforcing the strength of our diverse product portfolio.”
He added, ” As we move forward, we remain committed to introducing advanced, new-age mobility solutions that meet the evolving aspirations of Indian car buyers.”
