TVS Motor Company, part of TVS Venu, reported its highest-ever quarterly sales of 16.31 lakh units during the first quarter of FY2026-27, driven by strong growth across two-wheelers, three-wheelers and international markets.
The company sold 16.31 lakh vehicles during the April-June quarter, compared with 12.77 lakh units in the corresponding period last year.
Two-wheeler sales rose 27% to 15.64 lakh units from 12.32 lakh units a year earlier, while three-wheeler sales increased 48% to 67,000 units from 45,000 units.
Exports continue strong momentum
TVS Motor’s international business maintained robust growth during the quarter, with total overseas sales rising 33% to 4.68 lakh units compared with 3.52 lakh units in the same period of the previous financial year.
The strong export performance contributed significantly to the company’s record quarterly volumes.
June sales rise 47%
For June 2026, TVS Motor reported total sales of 590,003 units, marking a 47% increase over 402,001 units sold in June 2025. Total two-wheeler sales climbed 47% to 565,417 units from 385,698 units in the year-ago month.
Domestic two-wheeler sales also grew 46%, reaching 411,014 units compared with 281,012 units in June last year.
Scooters and motorcycles post healthy growth
Motorcycle sales increased 42% to 267,096 units during June, up from 188,774 units in the corresponding month last year.
Scooter sales outpaced motorcycles, rising 53% to 247,950 units from 162,291 units. The company continued to witness broad-based demand across its product portfolio in the domestic market.
EV sales surge over three-fold
TVS Motor’s electric two-wheeler business recorded one of its strongest performances during the month. EV sales surged to 48,537 units in June 2026 from 14,400 units in June 2025, reflecting growing consumer adoption of electric mobility and the company’s expanding presence in the segment.
International business and three-wheelers gain pace
Total international business sales grew 47% to 172,355 units during June, compared with 117,145 units a year ago. International two-wheeler sales rose 48% to 154,403 units from 104,686 units.
Three-wheeler sales also registered strong momentum, increasing 51% to 24,586 units from 16,303 units in June 2025. The strong performance across domestic, export and electric vehicle segments helped TVS Motor deliver record quarterly sales and sustain its growth trajectory in FY2026-27.
