Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd (Diacabs) has secured a ₹436-crore order for the supply of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) power cables to L&T, Sterling & Wilson and Blue Star for a 310 MW Hyderabad data centre project.
The order involves the supply of 21.35 lakh metres of power cables, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the first week of August 2026 and continue in a phased manner until March 2027.
Data centre opportunity
The company said India’s installed data centre capacity reached around 1,700 MW in 2025 after a record year of new supply and is expected to grow by about 30% in 2026.
Industry estimates project India’s data centre capacity to reach 4-5 GW by 2030 under the base case, while AI-driven demand could accelerate capacity to 8-9 GW or more.
Hyderabad fastest growing
Hyderabad, along with Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi NCR, remains one of the country’s fastest-growing data centre hubs.
The wires and cables opportunity from India’s data centre EPC pipeline is estimated at about ₹4,600 crore during FY25-30, within a total data centre EPC opportunity of around ₹46,400 crore.
