Oswal Pumps Ltd has secured an additional order worth ₹236 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 10,000 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems.
The order has been awarded under the PM Kusum-B scheme, “Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump” Yojana and it is to be executed within 60 days.
Project scope
The contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar water pumping systems.
The pumps will be installed at identified farmers’ locations across Maharashtra to support sustainable irrigation and promote the adoption of renewable energy in the agricultural sector.
It also includes complete system warranty and its repair and maintenance and Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for five years.
