JSW MG Motor’s Windsor Surpasses 75,000 Sales, Bolsters EV Presence

JSW MG Motor India has said the Windsor has crossed cumulative sales of 75,000 units in less than two years since its launch, reinforcing its position as India’s best-selling electric vehicle.

The company said it has already sold more than 19,000 units of the Windsor in calendar year 2026, with the order book continuing to grow steadily as demand for electric vehicles expands across the country.

EV adoption gains momentum
JSW MG Motor India said the Windsor has played a key role in accelerating electric vehicle adoption by attracting buyers across metropolitan cities as well as emerging markets.

The company also reported a 13% year-on-year increase in overall sales during the first half of calendar year 2026 compared with the corresponding period last year, reflecting growing acceptance of its electric vehicle portfolio.

MD highlights Windsor’s market appeal

Value proposition drives demand
According to the company, the Windsor has gained traction through its “ABC” proposition by combining the pricing of an A-segment vehicle, the exterior dimensions of a B-segment car and the interior space of a C-segment vehicle.

Positioned as India’s first Intelligent CUV, the Windsor blends sedan-like comfort with SUV versatility. It is offered under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh plus ₹3.9 per kilometre.

The vehicle is available with two battery pack options—a 38 kWh battery offering a claimed range of 332 km and the Windsor PRO’s 52.9 kWh battery with a claimed range of 449 km.

Premium features
The  Windsor features the company’s AeroGlide design language and offers business-class comfort with Aero Lounge seats that recline up to 135 degrees.

The electric crossover utility vehicle is also equipped with a 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen infotainment display, aimed at delivering an enhanced in-cabin experience.
