Neo Asset Closes ₹1,000 Cr Real Asset Yield Fund In Under 5 Months

CW Bureau ·

Neo Asset has achieved the final close of its Neo Real Asset Yield Fund at its target corpus of ₹1,000 crore, completing the fundraising in less than five months.

The open-ended Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) invests across privately and publicly listed Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs). The company said it has already deployed more than 80% of the committed capital.

Early mover in real asset strategy
Neo Asset said it was the first platform to raise and deploy capital through this investment structure. According to the company, several fund managers have since introduced similar strategies, with many of them still in the fundraising or early deployment stages.

Growing investor appetite

Neo Group Co-Founder Shajikumar Devakar said, “This fund was created to give our clients a dedicated way to allocate to real assets, InvITs and REITs, within their broader portfolios. The strong response reflects growing demand to diversify beyond traditional fixed income and equity allocations.”

He added, “This strategy was designed to provide institutional-grade access to high-quality privately listed InvITs, typically reserved for large institutions, alongside the best public REIT and InvIT opportunities—combining premium access with liquidity.”

Expanding private markets platform
Neo Asset Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Hemant Daga said the successful fundraise marks an important milestone in the company’s broader private markets strategy.

“The Real Asset Yield Fund is one part of a broader ambition, building India’s leading private markets platform across real assets, private credit and private equity. This closure gives us a strong foundation for what comes next,” he said.

The company said the fund is aimed at offering investors exposure to income-generating real assets while diversifying portfolios beyond conventional asset classes.
