Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has partnered with Google Gemini for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), integrating generative AI into the popular quiz show to enhance audience engagement and support contestants with registration guidance and general knowledge preparation.
The collaboration will see Google Gemini embedded into the KBC experience across Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV, positioning the AI platform as an interactive knowledge companion for viewers. The integration is designed to help audiences navigate KBC registration, access information about eligibility, and prepare for the quiz show through AI-powered learning tools.
AI-powered audience engagement
SPNI said the collaboration builds on KBC’s legacy of promoting knowledge and learning over the past two decades. Google Gemini will be integrated into the show’s content, enabling viewers to access registration guidance and educational support throughout their KBC journey.
The partnership also extends to the Google Gemini app, where users can receive step-by-step information on KBC registration procedures and eligibility criteria. The companies also plan to roll out interactive challenges aimed at helping users improve their general knowledge across a range of subjects.
Technology meets entertainment
The collaboration reflects the growing adoption of artificial intelligence in mainstream entertainment, with broadcasters increasingly using AI to create more personalised and interactive experiences for audiences.
By combining KBC’s long-standing knowledge-driven format with Google’s generative AI capabilities, SPNI and Google aim to make learning more engaging and accessible for viewers across India.
