Andhra Pradesh’s investment outreach to South Korea has significantly enhanced the state’s global investment profile, with Sri City emerging as one of the key industrial destinations showcased to leading Korean companies during the week-long visit led by Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications.
The investment mission, held from July 5 to 11, 2026, focused on attracting investments in high-growth sectors, including electronics, semiconductors, electric vehicle components, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and maritime technologies.
Sri City showcased as investment hub
During high-level meetings in Seoul and Busan, Lokesh positioned Sri City as a plug-and-play industrial ecosystem and a preferred destination for global manufacturers looking to establish or expand operations in India.
Sri City featured prominently in discussions with major South Korean companies, including LG Electronics, Solum Group, Hyundai Mobis, Seoul Semiconductor, Sunic Systems, Samsung Electronics, Motivelink and Hyosung Heavy Industries.
The minister also presented Sri City as a potential location for a dedicated Korean Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) township and an important node in Andhra Pradesh’s emerging coastal innovation corridor.
Existing investments by LG Electronics and Solum Group were highlighted as examples of Sri City’s investor-friendly ecosystem, world-class infrastructure and ease of doing business.
Sannareddy welcomes government’s efforts
Sri City Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy, who was part of the business delegation, thanked Lokesh for consistently promoting Sri City as a premier investment destination throughout the outreach programme.
He said the visit had provided an excellent platform to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s competitiveness in attracting global investments.
Sannareddy also acknowledged the contributions of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (EDB), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Embassy of India in Seoul and other partner organisations for supporting the investment outreach.
“Such coordinated efforts are vital for attracting quality investments, deepening international partnerships, and creating new opportunities for industrial growth and employment generation in Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
Stronger Korea-India business ties
The state government expects the growing interest from Korean companies across multiple sectors to translate into fresh investment proposals and stronger business partnerships in the coming months.
The outreach has further reinforced Sri City’s position as one of India’s leading integrated business destinations and a preferred gateway for South Korean companies looking to establish manufacturing and technology operations in the country.
