MRF Ltd has been ranked as India’s most valuable and strongest tyre brand in the Brand Finance India 100-2026 report, while also securing a place among the world’s top three strongest tyre brands, reinforcing its leadership in the domestic and global tyre industry.
The rankings were announced by global brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance at the launch of its India 100-2026 report in Mumbai. The report, themed “Powering India’s Global Ascent,” values India’s top 100 brands at a combined $236.5 billion.
The recognition comes on the back of another significant achievement in the Brand Finance Tyres 25-2026 report, where MRF was ranked as the third strongest tyre brand globally, with a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 87.7 out of 100.
Global recognition for Indian tyre maker
The latest rankings underlines MRF’s position as India’s leading tyre manufacturer, backed by decades of consumer trust, engineering excellence and product performance.
The Chennai-headquartered company also featured among the top 50 most valuable brands in India across industries, including automobiles, banking, hospitality, food, and oil and gas.
MRF Chairman and Managing Director K M Mammen said the recognition reflects the trust reposed in the brand by millions of customers.
“This recognition belongs to every Indian who has trusted MRF. To be named India’s most valuable and strongest tyre brand, be among India’s top 50 brands across all sectors, and feature among the world’s top three strongest tyre brands is both an honour and a responsibility. It reaffirms our commitment to safety, innovation and the everyday journeys of millions of families and businesses across the country,” he said.
Brand strength driven by trust and performance
According to Brand Finance, its rankings are based on internationally recognised standards, including ISO 10668 and ISO 20671, which evaluate brands on both financial value and brand strength.
MRF’s strong performance was attributed to its extensive distribution network, long-standing relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), consistent product quality, strong brand recall, consumer loyalty, and its association with cricket and motorsport.
Strong manufacturing and export footprint
Founded in 1946, MRF is India’s largest tyre manufacturer and ranks among the world’s top 15 tyre companies. The company operates 10 manufacturing facilities across India and exports tyres to more than 90 countries.
Its product portfolio spans tyres for two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-road applications, motorsports, and even fighter aircraft. MRF is also one of India’s leading OEM tyre suppliers, with a growing focus on electric vehicle and next-generation tyre technologies.
