Sigma Advanced Systems Ltd has announced the acquisition of 100% equity share capital of UK-based Bromford Precision Solutions Ltd in a deal valued at approximately ₹153 crore (GBP 11.89 million), marking a significant step in its strategy to build a globally integrated aerospace precision manufacturing platform.
The transaction, which is expected to close by the end of July 2026 subject to customary closing conditions, has been valued at an enterprise value to adjusted EBITDA (CY2026 estimate) multiple of around 4.6x, reflecting Sigma’s disciplined approach to strategic acquisitions.
Strengthening global aerospace footprint
The acquisition will deepen Sigma’s presence in the global aerospace supply chain, particularly within the Rolls-Royce ecosystem, while complementing the capabilities of its UK subsidiary, Nasmyth Group.
Bromford specialises in manufacturing high-precision aeroengine rings and complex engine structures, including compressor casings, ducts, brackets and lock plates. These capabilities complement Sigma’s expertise in manufacturing larger aerospace components for the same OEM customers, enabling the combined entity to offer a broader product portfolio to global aerospace and power generation customers.
The acquisition also adds long-term manufacturing contracts for specialised engine components, strengthening Sigma’s order pipeline.
Three-pronged value creation strategy
Sigma, a leading Indian aerospace precision engineering company based in Hyderabad, plans to implement its established operational improvement model at Bromford to unlock long-term value through three strategic initiatives.
The company aims to improve profitability by investing in automation and capital equipment to expand EBITDA margins. It also plans to transition the manufacturing of select components to India to optimise costs and enhance global competitiveness, replicating its existing operating model.
In addition, Sigma intends to drive revenue growth by expanding relationships with leading aerospace OEMs and securing additional long-term manufacturing agreements.
Bromford’s existing management team will continue to oversee day-to-day operations with support from Sigma’s leadership team.
