Matrimony.com is accelerating its transformation from a matchmaking company into a broader relationship and wedding services ecosystem, with fresh investments in wedding services, grey-collar hiring, dating, and artificial intelligence to drive future growth.
In his message to shareholders in the company’s FY26 Annual Report, Matrimony.com Chairman and Managing Director Murugavel Janakiraman said the company’s long-term vision is to evolve beyond its leadership in online matchmaking by building complementary businesses that cater to different stages of customers’ relationship journeys.
Wedding services, jobs platform gain traction
During FY26, the company made steady progress in expanding its adjacent businesses.
Its Wedding Services business shifted to a commission-led model, initially focusing on venue bookings while continuing to refine the product-market fit before scaling operations.
The company also advanced ManyJobs, India’s first grey-collar job portal that addresses hiring requirements in sales and service roles. Designed exclusively for frontline and entry-level job opportunities in Tamil Nadu, the platform is currently available in Tamil and English.
Matrimony.com has already initiated monetisation of ManyJobs while continuing to fine-tune the product and business model ahead of expansion into other states.
The company also revamped Luv.com, its platform for singles seeking serious relationships with the objective of helping users build long-term partnerships.
AI powers platform transformation
Artificial intelligence remained a key pillar of Matrimony.com’s innovation strategy during FY26.
The company said its AI investments are beginning to deliver measurable benefits by improving trust, enhancing service quality and enabling more personalised customer experiences.
AI capabilities now support conversational customer assistance, improved profile verification, enhanced authenticity checks and intelligent insights derived from customer interactions.
Among the new initiatives launched during the year were Astro Free Chat and AI-powered features on Mandap, including automated venue discovery to improve customer engagement.
Matrimony.com also made a strategic investment in Bharat Ek Khoj Spiritual Tech Private Limited, an AI-powered platform focused on astrology-related services and Vedic Shastra learning.
Vernacular expansion strengthens reach
As part of its platform enhancement efforts, Matrimony.com simplified customer onboarding, improved profile discovery and made interactions more relevant across BharatMatrimony and CommunityMatrimony.
The company also expanded vernacular capabilities across multiple Indian languages, making its platforms more accessible to users across diverse linguistic markets.
Outlook for FY27
Looking ahead, Janakiraman said the company is entering FY27 with confidence, supported by stronger product offerings, premiumisation initiatives, wider market reach and disciplined execution.
He expects growth momentum to improve as deferred revenues unwind and subscription renewal cycles strengthen, while the company’s calibrated investment strategy is expected to support higher profitability over the medium term.
“Our vision is to evolve from India’s leading matchmaking platform into a comprehensive relationship and wedding services ecosystem,” Janakiraman said in his message to shareholders.
