Reliance Retail’s omnichannel beauty platform Tira has expanded its international beauty portfolio with the exclusive launch of South Korean dermo-cosmetic brand Dr Melaxin in India, strengthening its presence in the country’s fast-growing premium skincare segment.

The brand will be available exclusively through Tira’s online platform and select offline stores, giving Indian consumers access to one of the fastest-growing K-beauty brands globally.

Science-led skincare enters India
Dr Melaxin has built its global reputation on a science-backed skincare approach inspired by the principles of vaccine science. The brand’s formulations are designed around its “slow aging” philosophy and target common skincare concerns such as pigmentation, enlarged pores, under-eye ageing, uneven skin texture and loss of firmness.

The company said its products are clinically evaluated and formulated to improve skin resilience over time while being suitable for sensitive skin.

Dr Melaxin follows an 8-FREE clean formulation standard, with all products being cruelty-free and dermatologist-tested.

Global success fuels India expansion
The India launch follows Dr Melaxin’s rapid international expansion across the United States, Japan and Southeast Asia.

The brand has also gained significant traction on social commerce platforms, emerging as the No. 1 K-beauty brand on TikTok Shop in both the US and the UK, reflecting the growing global demand for science-driven skincare products.

Independent clinical studies cited by the company indicate visible improvements in hydration, skin radiance and firmness within four weeks of regular use.

Viral Peel Shot range leads launch
Leading the India debut is Dr Melaxin’s globally popular Peel Shot range, a gentle exfoliating ampoule formulated with rice-based AHA and BHA, Pentavitin and rice water.

The range is designed to exfoliate dead skin cells, refine pores and improve skin texture and radiance without causing excessive irritation.

The company believes the product addresses skincare concerns particularly relevant to Indian consumers, including pigmentation, uneven skin tone and long-term skin resilience in varying climatic conditions.

India offers strong growth opportunity
India has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty and personal care markets, driven by rising disposable incomes, increasing awareness of skincare routines and growing demand for premium international brands.

Consumers are increasingly opting for clinically backed skincare solutions that deliver measurable results, creating opportunities for global dermo-cosmetic brands to expand their presence in the country.

Partnership strengthens Tira’s premium portfolio
The exclusive partnership with Dr Melaxin further enhances Tira’s portfolio of international beauty brands as Reliance Retail continues to strengthen its position in India’s premium beauty retail market.

By bringing globally recognised skincare brands to India, Tira aims to cater to the evolving preferences of consumers seeking authentic, high-performance beauty products backed by scientific research.

Dr Melaxin Chief Executive Officer Yu Kyoung Hwa said Indian consumers are increasingly knowledgeable about skincare and are looking for effective solutions for concerns such as pigmentation, texture and skin firmness. The partnership with Tira, the company said, will help introduce its innovative Peel Shot range and other science-led skincare products to the Indian market.
