JSW Infra Aims To More Than Double Port Capacity To 400 MTPA By 2030

JSW Infrastructure Ltd is targeting port handling capacity of around 400 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2030 as it accelerates investments in ports, logistics and multimodal infrastructure.

The company plans to more than double its current capacity through a mix of greenfield projects, brownfield expansions and strategic growth opportunities.

Port expansion

“At JSW Infrastructure, we are positioning ourselves to participate meaningfully in this opportunity. We have set a clear objective of expanding our port capacity to approximately 400 MTPA by 2030,” said Chairman Sajjan Jindal.

JSW Infrastructure is currently developing three greenfield ports simultaneously at Jatadhar in Odisha, Murbe in Maharashtra and Keni in Karnataka. It is also progressing a strategic greenfield port project in Oman.

Growth strategy

“These projects reflect our conviction in the long-term growth potential of maritime trade and logistics,” he said.

The company is also investing in the expansion and modernisation of its existing port portfolio, with a focus on operational excellence, disciplined execution and timely project delivery.

Integrated logistics network

“We continue to evaluate opportunities through a rigorous strategic and financial framework, ensuring that every investment supports long-term value creation,” he said.

Beyond ports, JSW Infrastructure is building an integrated logistics platform across India.

The company is investing in Inland Container Depots, Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals, multimodal logistics parks, storage infrastructure and an expanding fleet of specialised and container rail rakes.

Technology focus

The integrated port and logistics network is aimed at providing seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions while strengthening customer relationships and expanding the company’s presence across the logistics value chain.
