IT services company Coforge Ltd has secured a $230 million (around ₹1,980 crore) five-year contract from a major European client, marking one of its largest artificial intelligence (AI)-led transformation engagements in the region and reinforcing the growing shift by enterprises towards large-scale AI deployment.
The engagement will see Coforge deploy an AI-first transformation programme that combines Low-Code/No-Code platforms, AI-powered automation and AI-infused software development to modernise the client’s business operations.
The company said the programme is designed to improve decision-making, enhance productivity, reduce manual intervention and accelerate the delivery of business outcomes across the organisation.
AI spending gathers pace
The contract comes at a time when global enterprises are significantly increasing investments in AI after spending the past two years experimenting with generative AI through limited pilot projects.
Industry analysts say enterprises are now prioritising organisation-wide AI transformation programmes that integrate automation, data intelligence and software engineering, creating larger deal opportunities for technology service providers.
For Indian IT companies, AI-led engagements are increasingly emerging as a key growth driver amid a slowdown in traditional application development and maintenance contracts.
Enterprise-scale transformation
Coforge said it will leverage its platform engineering capabilities, domain expertise and AI-native delivery model to support the client’s long-term innovation roadmap and accelerate the adoption of intelligent, scalable digital services.
The deal also strengthens the company’s positioning as an AI transformation partner capable of executing complex enterprise-wide programmes rather than isolated AI deployments.
Europe remains a key growth market
Coforge President and Europe Business Leader John Speight said the contract reflects the increasing demand for AI-led transformation programmes that generate measurable business outcomes.
“Organisations are increasingly looking to move beyond isolated AI initiatives and embed intelligence into their core operations,” he said, adding that the pipeline of large AI transformation opportunities across Europe continues to expand as enterprises seek partners capable of delivering AI at scale.
The latest win further boosts Coforge’s presence in Europe, a strategic market where demand for digital engineering, cloud modernisation and AI services has been accelerating despite macroeconomic uncertainties.
With enterprises increasingly shifting from AI experimentation to enterprise-wide implementation, large multi-year contracts such as this are expected to become a significant growth avenue for Indian technology services companies.
