Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has launched the new Honda ZR-V e:HEV, its flagship hybrid SUV in the country, at an introductory price of ₹47.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with deliveries commencing immediately.
Imported from Japan as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the premium SUV marks Honda’s latest push into India’s growing premium hybrid vehicle segment. The company said the first two batches allocated for the Indian market have already been fully booked following strong customer response during the pre-booking phase.
The ZR-V e:HEV has been one of Honda’s successful global models, recording cumulative sales of over 800,000 units since its international debut in 2022.
Flagship hybrid SUV
Positioned at the top of Honda’s India portfolio, the ZR-V e:HEV combines sporty performance, premium interiors, advanced connectivity and Honda’s latest strong hybrid technology.
The SUV is powered by Honda’s 2.0-litre e:HEV Sports Hybrid powertrain that pairs an Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with a dual-motor hybrid system and e-CVT transmission.
The hybrid powertrain delivers a combined output of 184 PS, peak torque of 315 Nm, fuel efficiency of 22.8 kmpl, and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds.
The intelligent hybrid system automatically switches between Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive modes to optimise efficiency and performance under different driving conditions.
Strong response from buyers
Honda Cars India Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Kunal Behl, said the launch represents another milestone for the company in India.

The enthusiastic response to pre-bookings, with the first two batches already booked, has been extremely encouraging. Premium features
Built around the theme “Unleash Your Potential,” the ZR-V features bold SUV styling with full-LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels and a premium all-black cabin with leather upholstery.
The SUV comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless phone charging and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Practicality has also been a key focus, with 1,313 litres of luggage capacity when the rear seats are folded, multiple storage compartments, and 60:40 split-fold rear seats.
Comfort and safety
The ZR-V offers an extensive list of comfort features, including an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, a hands-free powered tailgate, electronic parking brake and walk-away auto lock.
Safety features include Honda’s SENSING suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), comprising Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Road Departure Mitigation.
The SUV is also equipped with eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Descent Control, front and rear parking sensors and Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure.
Warranty package
Honda is offering the ZR-V e:HEV with a three-year unlimited kilometre standard warranty, three years of complimentary roadside assistance, extended warranty options of up to seven years and Anytime Warranty coverage of up to 10 years or 120,000 km.
The lithium-ion battery is covered by an eight-year/160,000 km warranty, while hybrid system components are covered for five years or 100,000 km, whichever is earlier.
The flagship hybrid SUV will be available in Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl.
