Ramco Systems To Drive AI Engine; Scale Payroll, Aviation Businesses

CW Bureau ·

Ramco Systems is enlarging its global growth strategy with artificial intelligence (AI) at the core of its products, processes and customer experience, as the Chennai-based enterprise software company looks to strengthen its presence across key international markets.

In his message to shareholders in the company’s Annual Report 2026, Managing Director P. V. Abinav Ramasubramaniam Raja said the company will focus on expanding its global reach while embedding AI deeply across its software platforms.

AI at the heart of strategy
“Our priorities for the year ahead are to grow Ramco’s reach across markets, while making AI foundational to our products, to our processes, and to the way our customers experience our platforms,” Raja said.

He said the company plans to build a world-class go-to-market (GTM) team to accelerate international expansion and extend AI-native capabilities across its Payroll, Aviation and ERP solutions. Ramco also aims to leverage its governance framework as a competitive differentiator as enterprises increasingly evaluate AI-enabled technology vendors.

The company will continue strengthening its recurring revenue model while improving margins, building on the progress achieved during FY26.

Focus on priority markets
Raja said Ramco has improved alignment across sales, delivery, engineering and customer engagement functions over the past few years, leading to better execution, implementation consistency and customer lifecycle management.

The company has sharpened its focus on industries and geographies offering the strongest long-term growth potential. India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia and select global markets remain its priority regions.

HR and payroll business gains traction
Ramco’s HR & Payroll business recorded another year of strong growth, with its Ramco Payce platform continuing to attract multinational enterprises seeking to consolidate payroll operations across countries while enhancing compliance and operational efficiency.

During FY26, the company added 18 enterprise customers across the BFSI, healthcare, technology and services sectors and onboarded around 70,000 additional employees through new and expanded customer engagements.

The company also strengthened its partnership with Workday by securing Global Payroll Connect certification and becoming a Platinum Level Innovation Partner.

Aviation business strengthens global presence
Ramco’s Aviation business achieved a major milestone with the successful deployment of Ramco Aviation Suite at Korean Air’s Engine Maintenance Center.

The software platform will also support Korean Air’s upcoming engine maintenance complex, expected to become Asia’s largest engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) hub when it begins operations in 2027.

The company also secured new engagements across airlines, MRO operators, helicopter operators and defence aviation organisations worldwide.

Among the key developments was Ramco’s collaboration with the Commercial Aerospace business of ST Engineering, the world’s largest MRO provider, to co-develop next-generation AI-enabled aviation maintenance technologies.

ERP platform expands capabilities
In the ERP segment, Ramco continued enhancing workflow automation, conversational AI, analytics and operational intelligence for manufacturing and industrial customers.

The company has integrated logistics into its ERP business, enabling closer coordination across planning, transportation, warehousing and enterprise operations.

The business also recorded progress through platform modernisation, faster implementation cycles and successful multi-country deployments across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Asia-Pacific (APAC) and South Africa.

Chairman sees significant opportunities
Chairman P. R. Venketrama Raja said enterprises worldwide are accelerating investments in automation and intelligent digital ecosystems, creating significant growth opportunities for the company.

“We believe Ramco is well positioned to participate in this transformation through its domain-led platforms, AI-enabled capabilities, and growing operational maturity,” he said.

He said the company’s priorities remain focused on strengthening its platforms, deepening customer relevance, expanding intelligently across global markets and delivering sustainable long-term value for stakeholders.
