Avore Electric, the technology-first electric motorcycle brand from Samarth E-Mobility, has entered India’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its first electric motorcycle range, the Avore Electric EX. The motorcycles were unveiled by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The EX series is available in three variants, EX 2S, EX 2 and EX 1, with prices starting at ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom). The company said the motorcycles have been developed entirely on an indigenous technology platform with a focus on intelligent engineering, performance and rider convenience.
Built on indigenous technology
Avore Electric said the EX has been designed around its “Intelligence Beyond Motion” philosophy, integrating software, electronics and vehicle engineering from the outset rather than treating connectivity as an add-on feature.
The company has spent three years developing the platform and claims to have built more than nine critical vehicle systems in-house, including the battery management system (BMS), battery pack, motor, motor controller, onboard charger and proprietary operating system. It has also filed over 120 intellectual property applications.
Performance and range
The EX is powered by a rare-earth-free Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) delivering between 7.5 kW and 10.5 kW depending on the variant, with 250 Nm peak wheel torque across the range.
The flagship EX 2S offers a top speed of 114 kmph, while the EX 2 and EX 1 have a top speed of 100 kmph. The motorcycles offer IDC-certified riding ranges of: EX 2S: 260 km, EX 2: 255 km and EX 1: 160 km.
A 1,500W onboard fast charger enables charging from a standard 5A or 15A household socket. The battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in around two hours, while a full charge takes approximately four hours.
Intelligent riding features
The EX series comes equipped with Avore’s proprietary software ecosystem comprising AVORE SENSE, AVA (Avore Vehicle Assistance) and Avore Synapse, an AI-powered companion that records ride statistics and delivers personalised rider insights. The company said the motorcycle has been engineered to provide familiar ergonomics for conventional motorcycle riders while offering the benefits of electric mobility.
Safety and ownership
Avore Electric said it has validated the EX platform through more than 1,00,000 km of road testing and over 2,500 hours of dynamometer testing.
The platform complies with AIS 156 and AIS 038 safety standards. The battery pack is homologated by NATRAX, while the Battery Management System has been validated by ICAT.
The battery is backed by a 5-year or 60,000 km warranty.
Market rollout
The EX 2S and EX 2 will be available in three dual-tone colours—Starlit Blue Dual Tone, Meteor Red Dual Tone and Stellar Black Dual Tone. The EX 1 will be offered in single-tone versions of the same colours.
Bookings have opened on the company’s website at an introductory booking amount of ₹799, with showroom availability scheduled from next month and customer deliveries expected to begin about two months later.
