Auto components major Minda Corporation Ltd, a flagship company of Spark Minda Group, has outlined an ambitious Vision 2030 strategy centred on exports, product premiumisation, technology leadership and new growth segments as it seeks to strengthen its position as a global mobility systems supplier.
In his message to shareholders in the company’s Annual Report 2026, Aakash Minda, Executive Director, Minda Corporation Ltd, said the roadmap is designed to build a larger, stronger and future-ready organisation through disciplined execution across five strategic priorities.
These include investing in existing businesses, accelerating exports, premiumising the product portfolio, strengthening research and development capabilities, and entering new high-growth product categories.
Moving up the value chain
A key element of the strategy is increasing the company’s “kit value” per vehicle by supplying higher-value integrated systems instead of standalone components. According to Minda, this approach is expected to create a more resilient business model with better margins while deepening relationships with vehicle manufacturers.
The company is also reshaping its supply chain strategy by encouraging suppliers to become innovation partners capable of meeting stringent ESG and global quality standards.
“Our strategic endeavours reaffirm our commitment to pursuing growth that is not just profitable and sustainable, but built on long-term competitive advantages rather than short-term opportunities,” Minda said.
Innovation at the heart of growth
Technology and innovation remain central to the company’s long-term plans. Minda Corporation currently has more than 1,000 engineers, representing nearly 5% of its workforce, working across 30-plus product-specific teams focused on electronics, embedded software, mechatronics, power electronics and intelligent mobility solutions.
The company continues to invest around 4% of its revenue in research and development, underlining its emphasis on product innovation. It has built a portfolio of more than 330 patent filings while expanding capabilities in software, cybersecurity, connected systems and vehicle intelligence.
The company said it is increasingly integrating artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across engineering, manufacturing and supply chain operations.
It also plans to launch a Spark Minda Manufacturing Solutions Centre, which will focus on automation and customised manufacturing technologies aimed at improving productivity, enhancing quality and accelerating innovation.
Global partnerships to drive technology
Minda Corporation said strategic collaborations will continue to play a crucial role in its growth strategy.
Its partnerships include Toyodenso for advanced switches, Turntide Technologies for electric powertrain solutions, Flash Electronics for EV electronics, and HCMF for sunroof and power liftgate systems.
The company said these alliances, coupled with localisation and backward integration initiatives, will help bring advanced technologies closer to customers while improving quality, responsiveness and cost competitiveness.
The broader objective, according to Minda, is to evolve into a preferred Tier 0.5 systems partner capable of delivering integrated mobility solutions to global automotive manufacturers.
