Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) reported its highest-ever monthly total sales of 75,360 units in July 2026, registering a 25.4% year-on-year (YoY) growth, driven by robust demand in both the domestic and export markets.
The company’s total sales comprised 54,210 units sold in the domestic market, marking a 23.3% YoY increase and its highest-ever sales for the month of July, while exports surged 31.4% YoY to 21,150 units, the highest monthly export volume recorded by the automaker in more than 100 months.
Strong domestic and export momentum
The record performance was supported by continued strong demand for Hyundai’s SUV portfolio, led by the CRETA, which recorded its highest monthly sales of calendar year 2026 at 18,088 units. The premium hatchback i20 also achieved its best monthly performance this year, with sales of 6,738 units.
Company optimistic on growth
Hyundai Motor India Ltd, MD & CEO, Tarun Garg, said the company has started the new quarter on a strong footing.
“We have kicked off the new quarter on a strong note. Achieving 75,360 total sales (domestic + exports; up 25.4% YoY), our highest-ever monthly volume since inception, underscores the immense trust consumers place in brand Hyundai. Furthermore, delivering 21,150 export units (up 31.4% YoY), our highest in more than 100 months, reinforces our relentless commitment to Make-in-India, Made-for-the-World.”
