CW Bureau ·

Renault India continued its strong sales momentum in the domestic passenger vehicle market, reporting a 27.9% year-on-year increase in wholesales to 3,293 units in July 2026, compared with 2,575 units in the corresponding month last year.

The July performance marks the eleventh consecutive month of double-digit year-on-year growth for the French automaker’s Indian arm, reflecting sustained demand across its product portfolio.

The company said its sales performance remained broadly in line with the overall growth recorded by the Indian passenger vehicle industry during the month.

Product launches drive momentum
To further strengthen its market position, Renault India expanded its product portfolio in July with the launch of the Renault Duster Adventure Edition, priced at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company also refreshed its entry-level offering by introducing the new Renault Kwid with a simplified two-variant lineup, with prices starting at ₹4.53 lakh (ex-showroom).

The latest product actions are expected to support Renault’s efforts to sustain its growth trajectory amid increasing competition in the passenger vehicle market.

Focus on growth
Renault India said it remains committed to maintaining its sales momentum by leveraging sustained customer demand and strengthening its presence across key passenger vehicle segments.

The company’s vehicles are manufactured at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an annual production capacity of 480,000 units.

Renault India has also expanded its nationwide footprint to nearly 638 sales and service touchpoints, including more than 200 Workshop on Wheels locations, aimed at improving customer reach and after-sales service across the country
