Auto components major Uno Minda Ltd reported a 1.7% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit to ₹296 crore for the first quarter of FY27, while revenue surged 23.8% to a record ₹5,557 crore, driven by broad-based growth across its core product portfolio and new-age mobility businesses.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of ₹291 crore on revenue of ₹4,489 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Uno Minda’s growth was led by strong demand across its key product segments, including switches, lighting, alloy wheels, seating systems, as well as its rapidly expanding EV Systems and Alternate Fuel businesses.

The company reported EBITDA of ₹572 crore in the June quarter, compared with a normalised EBITDA of ₹474 crore a year earlier, registering a 21% YoY increase.

Record quarterly revenue
Uno Minda Managing Director Ravi Mehra said the company’s first-quarter performance reinforces its strategy of consistently outperforming the broader automotive market.

“The ongoing shift toward vehicle premiumisation, connected mobility and electrification is fundamentally increasing per-vehicle content across segments. By aligning our R&D roadmap with these structural industry shifts and accelerating execution across our new-age platforms, we are not just participating in market growth—we are driving the technological evolution of the vehicle cabin,” he said.

Mehra added that disciplined capital deployment and capacity expansion have positioned the company to lead the next phase of mobility innovation.

Growth momentum intact
Uno Minda CFO Sunil Bohra said the company achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue during the period despite operating in a challenging commodity pricing environment.

“Underlying demand across the automotive sector remains strong. Our resilient performance reflects the strength of our technology leadership, product diversification and focus on operational efficiencies,” he said.

Bohra said the company remains confident of delivering sustainable and profitable growth, supported by multiple growth initiatives, strategic investments and increasing momentum in its new-age businesses.

Uno Minda, one of India’s leading automotive component manufacturers, continues to benefit from rising vehicle premiumisation, increasing electronic content per vehicle and accelerating adoption of electric mobility solutions, trends that are expected to support long-term growth.
