CW Bureau ·

Bharti Airtel Ltd, a leading telecom services provider, has entered into agreements to acquire an 85% stake each in Rochak Systems Pvt Ltd and Rovision Tech Hub Pvt Ltd to support the expansion of its data centre business through Nxtra Data.

The acquisitions will be completed in one or more tranches. Airtel said the transactions do not currently fall within the purview of related-party transactions. Any subsequent tranche, if classified as a related-party transaction, will be undertaken on an arm’s length basis.

Newly Incorporated Entities

The company did not disclose the acquisition consideration, citing confidentiality. The transactions will be completed at an agreed valuation.

Rochak Systems, incorporated on May 19, 2025, and Rovision Tech Hub, incorporated on May 15, 2025, are newly incorporated entities and are yet to commence commercial operations.

Develop data centres

The two companies have been set up to develop land for the construction of data centres, aligning with Airtel’s strategy to strengthen its digital infrastructure business through Nxtra Data.

The acquisitions are expected to support Nxtra Data’s expansion plans by securing land assets for future data centre development, as demand for digital infrastructure continues to grow in line with increasing cloud adoption, enterprise digitalisation and AI-led computing requirements.
