Apollo Hospitals Q1 PAT Rises 34%; Revenue Climbs 21% To ₹7,043 Cr

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated revenue rising 21% year-on-year to ₹7,043 crore, while reported profit after tax (PAT) increased 34% to ₹581 crore from ₹433 crore in Q1 FY26.

Consolidated EBITDA grew 28% to ₹1,092 crore from ₹852 crore a year earlier. Diluted EPS stood at ₹40.36 for the quarter.

The performance was led by robust growth across Apollo’s healthcare services, diagnostics, retail health, digital health and pharmacy businesses.

Healthcare services drive growth
Healthcare Services revenue increased 22% year-on-year to ₹3,567 crore, while EBITDA rose 20% to ₹862 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 24%. PAT from the segment increased 25% to ₹480 crore from ₹384 crore in Q1 FY26.

Apollo said the growth was supported by higher inpatient volumes, average revenue per patient (ARPP) and occupancy across its hospital network.

As of June 30, 2026, Apollo had 8,352 operating beds across its hospital network, excluding Apollo Health and Lifestyle and managed beds. Overall occupancy improved to 70% from 65% in the year-ago quarter.

Tamil Nadu recorded 16% revenue growth, with inpatient volumes rising 13% and ARPP increasing 5% to ₹2,13,309. Occupancy improved to 70% from 62% a year earlier.

AP-Telangana delivered 31% revenue growth, while Karnataka grew 21%. Eastern markets recorded 20% growth, Western markets 28% and Northern markets 16%.

HealthCo revenue up 20%
Apollo HealthCo reported a 20% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹2,977 crore. EBITDA rose to ₹171 crore from ₹94 crore, while PAT increased to ₹101 crore from ₹57 crore.

Offline pharmacy distribution contributed ₹2,629 crore, while digital platform revenue stood at ₹348 crore.

The company added 151 net new stores during the quarter, taking its pharmacy network to 7,440 stores. Apollo 24/7 gross merchandise value (GMV) rose 23% to ₹535 crore, while the average daily order run rate increased to 70,000 from 64,000 in Q1 FY26.

Capacity expansion gains momentum
Apollo commissioned a 180-bed hospital in Sarjapur, Bengaluru, during Q1 FY27.

The company also announced plans to expand its existing facilities in Indore and Guwahati by 148 beds and add four new hospitals in Indore, Dwarka, Delhi Proton Centre and Ranchi, together representing 1,200 beds.

With these additions, Apollo plans to add more than 5,800 beds, including 4,700 census beds, over the next five years. The Gurugram facility is on track for commissioning in Q3 FY27.

International patient revenue grows 26%
Apollo’s International Patient Services division continued to gain traction, with revenue increasing 26% year-on-year. The company said international demand remained steady, supported by engagement with governments, embassies and healthcare partners.

Innovation and clinical milestones
During the quarter, Apollo announced several clinical and technology milestones, including India’s first leadless pacemaker implantation across a prosthetic tricuspid valve at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi.

The New Delhi hospital also performed India’s first reported robotic Whipple procedure in a patient with intestinal nonrotation and periampullary cancer.

Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata performed India’s first native transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement in a patient with inoperable tricuspid regurgitation.

Apollo cancer centres also became the first in India to launch Guardant Health’s Shield Multi-Cancer Detection Test.

The group signed an MoU with ePlane Company to explore electric air ambulances and medical delivery drones for India’s emergency healthcare network.

Apollo Hospitals Group, Founder and Chairman, Dr Prathap C. Reddy said the Q1 performance reflected the strength of Apollo’s integrated healthcare model and continued patient trust.

He said Apollo would remain focused on clinical excellence and patient safety, preventive and patient-centric care, disciplined expansion and prudent capital allocation.
