Indrajaal Autonomous Defense Systems and Sigma Advanced Systems have secured orders worth ₹155 crore for Indrajaal Ranger, an anti-drone patrol vehicle designed to extend counter-drone security beyond military installations to border villages, VVIP routes and urban areas.
The Indrajaal-Sigma consortium has received a ₹145 crore order from the Home Ministry, while an urban police agency has placed a ₹10 crore order for VVIP protection and city security.
Ranger brings counter-drone security to streets
Indrajaal Ranger is a mobile counter-UAS platform capable of detecting, tracking, identifying and countering rogue drones while travelling at high speeds.
Described as India’s only ARDTC-approved anti-drone patrol vehicle, Ranger is designed to provide full mission capability on the move.
AI powers layered protection
Powered by SkyOS, the vehicle integrates sensors, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, command and control and layered countermeasures.
Its protection architecture comprises three layers — Take Control, Keep Out and Take Down — enabling the system to respond to different types of drone threats.
Indigenous defence capabilities
“This programme showcases the strength of India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem, where advanced indigenous technologies can be developed, manufactured and delivered at operational scale,” said Sigma Advanced Systems CEO Sunil Kalidindi.
The programmes support the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and demonstrate the private defence sector’s growing role in developing and deploying indigenous national-security technologies.
