Indian Terrain Targets For Peak Revenue Of ₹500 Cr Again By FY28

CW Bureau ·

Apparel retailer Indian Terrain Fashions Ltd is targeting a return to its peak revenue of ₹500 crore by FY28, with a sharper focus on profitability, margins and stronger financials.

In a letter to shareholders, Executive Chairman Venky Rajagopal said the company would pursue growth through selective retail expansion, e-commerce and deeper distribution.

Focus shifts to profitable growth

“Over the past year, we have therefore remained focused on improving the quality of our revenues rather than pursuing growth at any cost,” he said.

The company has been sharpening its channel strategy, strengthening relationships with key retail partners, improving inventory discipline and making its sourcing and supply chain more agile.

Selective retail expansion planned

Indian Terrain will cautiously expand its exclusive retail presence while scaling up e-commerce and distribution to support revenue growth.

“The coming years will therefore be about profitable growth, disciplined execution and continuous improvement by strengthening margins and cash flows,” he said.

Consumer preferences evolving

According to him, the apparel and retail sector was undergoing significant change, with consumers becoming more discerning and competition evolving rapidly.

The company will focus on strengthening its brand presence, improving productivity across channels and concentrating on segments where it has a competitive advantage.

Presence across 250-plus cities

Indian Terrain currently retails across more than 250 cities through 181 exclusive outlets, over 730 multi-brand outlets and more than 185 doors of large-format stores.

The company also has a presence through more than six key e-commerce platforms.
