Tata Steel Acquires 23% Stake In TM International Logistics For ₹335 Cr

Tata Steel Ltd has completed the acquisition of a 23% equity stake in TM International Logistics Ltd (TMILL) for ₹335 crore, increasing its holding in the logistics company to 74%.

Tata Steel acquired 41.40 lakh equity shares of ₹10 each from IQ Martrade Holding Und Management GmbH, in accordance with the terms of the Share Purchase Agreement executed on May 15, 2026. Following the transaction, TMILL has become a subsidiary of Tata Steel.

Stake rises to 74%

The acquisition was completed as part of the company’s plan to consolidate its ownership in TMILL. Tata Steel had approved the acquisition of the additional 23% equity stake prior to completing the transaction.

TMILL was earlier a 51:26:23 joint venture between Tata Steel, NYK Holding Europe B.V. and IQ Martrade Holding Und Management GmbH. With the acquisition, Tata Steel’s holding has increased to 74%.

NYK retains 26% stake

Following completion of the transaction, NYK Holding Europe B.V. holds the remaining 26% equity stake in TMILL. The restructuring makes TMILL a subsidiary of Tata Steel.

The transaction involved the acquisition of 41.40 lakh equity shares, each having a face value of ₹10, for an aggregate consideration of ₹335 crore.
