JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the Hector Tomahawk, the first product engineered on its newly developed ADAPT advanced drive architecture platform and India’s first multi-new energy vehicle (NEV) platform.
The Tomahawk will be offered with both electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrains, giving customers greater flexibility in choosing their preferred electrified mobility solution.
The SUV will be available at an introductory Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) price of ₹13.99 lakh plus ₹4.90 per km battery rental for the EV version and ₹21.79 lakh plus ₹3.20 per km battery rental for the PHEV version.
Choice of electrified powertrains
The Tomahawk expands JSW MG Motor India’s NEV portfolio by combining electrified powertrains with connected technology, advanced safety, premium comfort and spacious interiors.
JSW MG Motor India Director Parth Jindal said, “The Hector Tomahawk represents a significant milestone in our journey toward building a sustainable mobility ecosystem in India. We remain focused on bringing the world’s-best available technologies and environmentally responsible solutions to Indian consumers, while supporting the country’s transition to cleaner transportation. The introduction of the Hector Tomahawk EV and the Hector Tomahawk PHEV, India’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), reflects our commitment to offering a diverse portfolio of new-age mobility solutions that address evolving customer needs and driving patterns.”
JSW MG Motor India Managing Director Anurag Mehrotra said, “The future of mobility will not be defined by a single technology solution but by providing customers the freedom to choose the pathway that best suits their needs. We recently introduced India’s First Multi New Energy Vehicle Platform – ADAPT as the foundation for our next generation of products. Today, the Hector Tomahawk becomes the first SUV to bring that vision to life.”
He added that offering both EV and plug-in hybrid technologies would help address the diverse requirements of Indian consumers while making sustainable mobility more accessible.

In the five-seater configuration, the SUV offers boot capacity of up to 610 litres with all rows in use. In the seven-seater configuration, luggage and cargo space can be expanded by folding the second and third rows.
ADAPT platform drives new-energy strategy
The Tomahawk marks the first application of the ADAPT architecture, which JSW MG Motor India is positioning as the foundation for its next generation of multi-new energy vehicles.
By supporting both EV and PHEV powertrains, the platform is aimed at giving consumers greater choice as India’s automotive market moves towards electrification while catering to varied driving patterns and infrastructure requirements.
