Avathon, a leader in Autonomy for Operations, has established an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru, strengthening India’s role in its global AI innovation network.
The centre will bring together AI scientists, engineers and technical leaders to advance Physical AI and frontier models for autonomous industrial systems across energy, mining and aerospace.
The Bengaluru CoE will connect research, engineering and deployment, with work from India contributing to Avathon’s global platform and customer deployments.

“We are building the intelligence layer for the physical economy, where AI has to make sense of enormous amounts of data, navigate uncertainty and competing constraints, and continuously learn as the world changes,” said Chief Executive Officer, Pervinder Johar.

This is not simply an investment in a new centre. It is an investment in India’s ability to help shape the future of AI,” he said.
Company to expand AI talent
The CoE will bring together Avathon’s leading AI talent and set a high bar for technical excellence. The company plans to continue investing in Bengaluru and attract AI professionals from across India.
Avathon will also deepen its engagement with universities, researchers and technology organisations in India and globally, connecting AI research with real-world industrial deployment.
