In a major leadership change, the TVS Motor Company, part of TVS Venu and a leading global manufacturer of two- and three-wheelers, has appointed Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 27, 2027.
Kargar will succeed K. N. Radhakrishnan, who will continue as CEO until January 27, 2027, to ensure a seamless leadership transition. Following the transition, Radhakrishnan will serve as Non-Executive Director until the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for July 2027.
Radhakrishnan has played a pivotal role in the growth of TVS Motor and has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s business and global footprint.
The leadership transition comes as TVS Motor builds on strong business performance and continues to consolidate its position in India while expanding its presence in international markets.
In FY2025-26, TVS Motor achieved a record performance, selling 5.9 million vehicles globally and delivering 30% revenue growth.
Global experience
Kargar currently serves as President, International Business at TVS Motor. He brings more than three decades of global automotive leadership experience across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
He has held senior leadership positions with several leading global automotive brands, with experience spanning the entire value chain, including product development and R&D, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing.
Under Kargar’s leadership, TVS Motor’s International Business has emerged as an increasingly important contributor to its global expansion. The international business currently accounts for 29% of the company’s sales volume and is growing at 33%.
As CEO, Kargar will focus on further expanding TVS Motor’s business in India and global markets, with priorities including product innovation, premiumisation and entry into developed markets.
