Leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy hosted the fourth edition of Ather Community Day, its annual gathering of riders, EV enthusiasts and the wider Ather community.
What began in 2016 as a meet-up of 30 to 40 early believers has grown into Ather’s largest annual community gathering, with more than 4,600 people attending this year.
Four announcements target EV adoption
This year’s event featured four announcements across product and ownership: Ather’s newest scooter Konarc, Ather True Health, the fifth-generation Ather Bedrock Battery platform and Ather Node, a charging solution for apartment communities.
Together, the initiatives target key barriers to EV adoption, including everyday usability, battery safety, long-term battery health, resale value and access to convenient home charging.

“This year, we have some of our biggest launches across the vehicle, battery, charging and ownership experience,” said Ather Energy, Co-Founder & CEO, Tarun Mehta.
“Each of these comes from a different problem we have been working on, but the larger goal is the same: to keep removing the barriers that come with new technology and make EVs a more natural choice for more people,” he said.
New battery platform focuses on safety
Konarc led the announcements as Ather’s newest scooter and the first product built on its new EL platform.
Ather’s fifth-generation Bedrock Battery platform introduces BreachSense, a real-time monitoring system designed to detect microscopic damage following a high-impact accident.
The new platform also offers five times higher cell-balancing capability than the previous generation, enabling Ather to balance cells in its battery packs for longer periods and at higher intensity.
Ather Node expands charging access
Ather Node is designed to address charging challenges faced by electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers in residential and commercial spaces with limited available electrical load.
The system uses a central gateway to manage up to 1,000 chargers within a residential or commercial complex, allowing users to have dedicated charging points in their parking spaces.
It can scale with the community’s requirements, with additional gateways and Ather Node chargers added as EV adoption increases.
True Health assesses vehicle condition
Ather True Health provides riders with a comprehensive report on their scooter’s condition, along with an estimated resale value for eligible vehicles based on their condition and history.
The service provides buyers and sellers with a reference beyond the vehicle’s age and odometer reading.
Ather True Health and the resale value estimate are available for scooters that have completed three years on the road with AtherStack TM Pro.
