Leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy has introduced Konarc at the fourth edition of Ather Community Day 2026 in Bengaluru, expanding its product portfolio as it seeks to make electric mobility more accessible to Indian riders.
Built on Ather’s new EL platform, Konarc brings the company’s engineering and technology to a wider customer base, with a focus on ride comfort, range, durability and ease of ownership.
Six variants across two lines
Konarc will be available across the S and Z product lines, with six variants in total. The S line will comprise four variants with IDC ranges of 100 km, 125 km, 161 km and 200 km, while the Z line will have 125 km and 161 km variants.
The scooter will be offered in Quartz White, Lumen Copper, Celestial Gold and Majestic Grey. Steel Blue and Claret Red will be available exclusively on the higher-end Z variants.
Focus on easier ownership
Ather has also positioned Konarc around a simpler ownership experience, with servicing required once a year for most riders and a 10-year or 100,000-km warranty on its fifth-generation Bedrock battery.
The scooter comes with new features including MagicKey, AutoPop, AirWalk and Ather’s Advanced Electronic Braking System, aimed at improving convenience and everyday usability.
New features target everyday use
“Be it the metal panels, 200 km range, once-a-year service interval, fast home charging, or the plush and comfortable ride, we have pushed the envelope on every fundamental that matters to this buyer, without compromising on the premium experience and advanced technology that Ather is known for,” said Ather Energy, Co-Founder & CEO, Tarun Mehta.
“Konarc has also been designed to scale, and with the vertical integration and manufacturing capacity we are building at AURIC, we can take the Ather experience to many more riders and markets across India,” he said.
AutoPop for seat storage
AutoPop enables easier access to under-seat storage when a rider’s hands are occupied. It can be triggered from a few metres away using the MagicKey, while a button on the scooter provides the same function at close range.
AirWalk eases manual movement
AirWalk is designed to make moving the scooter manually easier in tight parking spaces and other situations. When the scooter detects a manual push or pull, it provides mild assistive motor torque in the same direction.
The feature can also reduce the effort required to move the scooter when tyres are under-inflated, improving ease of handling during everyday use.
Deliveries to begin in September
The Konarc S 125 km and S 161 km variants will be available initially, with bookings and deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-September in a phased manner.
The rollout will initially cover select variants and States before expanding to additional locations across India. The Konarc S 100 km is priced at ₹99,999, the S 125 km at ₹1,21,999 and the S 161 km at ₹1,44,999, effective ex-showroom Bengaluru.
