JSW MG Motor India reported a 14% year-on-year growth in wholesale sales at 7,508 units in August 2026, maintaining momentum across its internal combustion engine (ICE) and new energy vehicle (NEV) portfolios.
The company’s August performance comes alongside the launch of the MG Hector Tomahawk, its first SUV built on ADAPT, which the company describes as India’s first multi-new energy vehicle platform. The Hector Tomahawk is being offered with both electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain options.

Deliveries of the Hector Tomahawk EV are scheduled to commence in September 2026, while test drives and deliveries of the PHEV version are expected to begin in November 2026.
Broadens its new-energy offering
With the Hector Tomahawk available across EV and PHEV configurations, JSW MG Motor India is seeking to broaden its new-energy offering while giving customers greater flexibility in choosing a powertrain suited to their mobility requirements.
The company’s August sales growth and the commencement of Hector Tomahawk EV dealership dispatches come ahead of the festive season, a key period for the Indian passenger vehicle market.
