Renault India reported domestic wholesales of 2,842 units in August 2026, taking its cumulative sales for January-August to 31,979 units, a growth of more than 47% over 21,621 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
The strong year-to-date performance comes as Renault India expands its product strategy amid changing customer preferences across petrol, CNG, hybrid and electric powertrains.
Under its futuREady strategy, Renault plans to offer seven models across multiple powertrain options, broadening its portfolio to address evolving mobility needs in the Indian market.
Triber Turbo to debut in September
The company is set to introduce the Triber Turbo in the last week of September 2026, adding a new powertrain option to the Triber range.
The upcoming introduction is part of Renault India’s broader product expansion as the automaker seeks to strengthen its presence across segments and powertrain technologies.

Chennai facility anchors India operations
Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault S.A.S., France, produces its vehicles at the company’s facility in Oragadam, Chennai, which has an annual production capacity of 4.8 lakh units.
The automaker has built a nationwide sales and service network of nearly 638 touchpoints, including more than 200 Workshop on Wheels locations.
With its expanding product portfolio and multiple powertrain options, Renault India is positioning itself to capture emerging opportunities in India’s rapidly evolving passenger vehicle market.
