Electric cycle maker EMotorad, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz India, is bringing the official Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS e-bike range to the Indian market.
As the exclusive India partner, EMotorad will introduce three e-bike models in the country and will be responsible for the post-sales customer experience, including service and repairs.
The partnership combines the design and technology of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS official e-bike range with EMotorad’s capabilities in e-bike manufacturing, distribution and customer experience.
E-bikes to be built in India
EMotorad will manufacture the e-bikes in India while managing the end-to-end ownership experience for customers within the Mercedes-Benz ecosystem.
The range will be available exclusively through select Mercedes-Benz retail outlets in India, providing customers with dedicated touchpoints to experience and purchase the e-bikes.
The partnership also marks EMotorad’s expansion into the premium mobility segment, leveraging the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS brand and its association with performance, design and technology.

Focus on premium customer experience
EMotorad Co-founder Himanshu Ratnoo said the partnership brings together technology and manufacturing capabilities in the cycling segment while placing an emphasis on quality and ownership experience.
He said manufacturing the e-bikes in India and managing the complete customer journey would enable EMotorad to bring a global product experience to Indian customers.
AMG brand extends to e-mobility
Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director & CEO Santosh Iyer said the launch of the AMG F1 PETRONAS e-bikes represents an extension of the AMG brand into a new mobility category.
“The Studio opens with distinct AMG flavour for enthusiasts,” Iyer said, referring to the AMG-focused experience being showcased by the company.
He added that the CONCEPT AMG GT XX demonstrates Mercedes-AMG’s focus on performance, technology and innovation while highlighting the brand’s vision for an electric future.
“The launch of AMG F1 PETRONAS e-bikes in India is a natural extension of the AMG brand. These world-class F1 e-Bikes will enable more AMG enthusiasts to connect with the brand’s unique DNA of performance, design and craftsmanship,” Iyer said.
