Leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric has launched its first cohort of network partner stores, with dealer-operated outlets going live across Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
The new stores are aimed at deepening Ola Electric’s presence in key regional markets and meeting local demand for its electric scooters and motorcycles. The rollout also marks a significant shift in the company’s retail strategy, moving from a predominantly company-owned network to a partner-led distribution model.
Ola Electric opened its sales and service network to dealer partners for the first time on August 6, five years after launching its first electric scooter through a fully company-owned retail model.
Within a month of announcing the new strategy, the first partner stores have become operational, reflecting strong dealer interest in the company’s product portfolio.
Focus on deeper market penetration
The transition to a dealer-led distribution network is expected to help Ola Electric strengthen local market penetration, improve product accessibility and enable faster customer response across geographies.
The first cohort of partner stores is now operational across cities and towns in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Ola Electric Chief Business Officer Manoj Murali said the company’s early growth was built through company-owned stores, which helped establish the brand, create awareness around electric vehicles and build a customer base of more than 10 lakh electric two-wheeler riders.
“Ola Electric built its early growth through company-owned stores, using them to establish the brand, create EV awareness, and build India’s largest electric two-wheeler customer base of over 10 lakh riders,” he said.
According to Murali, the foundation created through the company-owned network has enabled Ola Electric to move towards a dealer-led retail model.
“The establishment of a dealer-led network is a strategic move that takes our product ecosystem deeper across every corner of India,” he said.
With the S1Z range starting at ₹79,999, the partner network is expected to play a key role in expanding access to electric two-wheelers and accelerating EV adoption among Indian households, Murali added.
Target of 500 dealerships
Ola Electric aims to build a network of more than 500 dealerships over the next couple of quarters.
As part of the transition, its existing company-owned stores will evolve into brand product experience centres, while dealer partners will expand the company’s sales and service reach across regional markets.
The company said the combination of dealer-operated outlets and product experience centres will strengthen its retail presence while improving customer access to its growing portfolio of electric scooters and motorcycles.
Dealers interested in joining Ola Electric’s network can apply through the company’s partner portal.
