7Seas Entertainment Boosts AI-Led Gaming Focus, Expands Portfolio

CW Bureau ·

7Seas Entertainment Ltd is strengthening its gaming portfolio and development capabilities, with a greater focus on sports, racing and simulation experiences while integrating selected AI-assisted tools into its game development processes.

In a message to shareholders in the company’s Annual Report 2026, 7Seas Entertainment Managing Director Lingamaneni Maruti Sanker said the company’s focus remained on creating engaging games while building the capabilities required to develop, test and support them effectively.

“Creative ideas are the starting point; bringing them to players requires sound engineering, consistent quality, careful resource allocation and an understanding of how audiences respond,” Sanker said.

The company said its priorities include improving product quality, strengthening execution, managing working capital carefully and making considered investment decisions.

Broadening gaming portfolio
During the year, 7Seas Entertainment continued developing its mobile and casual-gaming portfolio while broadening its focus towards sports, racing and simulation games.

The objective is to build a balanced catalogue, apply learnings across genres and direct development resources towards products with sustainable commercial potential.

The company acknowledged that a broader portfolio needs to be supported by clear priorities and a realistic assessment of development costs, player engagement and commercial performance.

Technology is also becoming an important part of its development strategy. The company has continued integrating selected AI-assisted tools into its development processes to support design exploration, testing and iteration.

The company said these tools are intended to support its creative and technical teams rather than replace human decision-making.

“Responsibility for intellectual-property rights, data protection, product quality and final-release decisions remains with people,” Sanker said.

Preferential issue provides development funding
The preferential issue approved during the year is expected to provide funding for the company’s next phase of development.

Against the approved issue size of ₹17.32 crore, the company had received ₹7.55 crore in cash and completed ₹1.52 crore of non-cash conversion of promoter loans into equity as of March 31, 2026.

The company clarified that the full approved issue size should not be interpreted as cash already received.

7Seas Entertainment said its responsibility would be to deploy the available proceeds towards the approved objects, monitor their utilisation and maintain transparent reporting to shareholders.

7Seas AI initiatives
Following the close of FY26, the company advanced its AI-enabled gaming and digital-content initiatives under the “7Seas AI” positioning.

The company said these developments took place after March 31, 2026 and would therefore be presented separately from its operating performance for the financial year.

In another post-year-end development, 7Seas Entertainment supported the Telangana State Senior Water Polo team in July 2026 by providing uniform kits.

The company said its growth approach will continue to balance opportunities in gaming with the challenges posed by competition, changing player preferences and evolving platform requirements.

It intends to assess progress not only through financial performance but also through the quality and sustainability of the business being built.
